Memories

Oh memories,
Why have you come to haunt me?
Was it not enough already?

Some are fading
but most are live as ever
there will be no stop,
not now not ever.

As vivid as daydreaming 
nightmares don’t leave me alone 
taking me deeper and deeper 
into the unknown.
