I will not say “don’t weep for her”

For tears are needed now

Weep them with a tranquil heart

Without sadness on your brow

I will not say don’t mourn for her

When her picture comes to mind

But mourn with peace inside your heart

Remembering that heaven she did find

I will not say don’t cry above

Her gentle resting head

Our hearts will miss her, we need to cry.

With sadness O’er the dead

Remember when the spangled stars

Across the timeless sky

In the light of brand new day

Do but fade not die.

And when the sun rays shining

Goes dark in fall of night

In the new day not one ray is lost

As they renew their glory bright

She only sleeps, her time has passed

That unto her was given

She has now risen far above

Just a stepping stone to heaven
