Mental illness and me

Mental illness and me

As I try to get close to others I sense you sneak in undercover. Like a smothering fog you enter my thoughts, making it so I can't even talk. I try to focus so as not to sound bogus but you have my mind this one big ruckus. Isolation sinks in. I look around at all that breathes; my body's in gear and ready to leave; but my mind says "No! Lets freeze"! I look at you, and you look at me. You are mental illness and you are me. To run from you would be running from me. So I sit with my friends my mental illness and me.
