Message Of The Drum

Thudding a drum by the campfire, thoughts of his days quest for sustenance,

the fearfulness of the night, and his own bravery,

were transformed into rhythmic words chanted aloud, to mark the

pulse of the drumbeats song

Sharing these chanted words, by the fires red light, echoing sounds

reached neighboring  ears, inspiring their imagination, leaving

a magical pattern in their minds

So it began, Poetic meter bequeathed to man

An adventurous dream, or so it would seem

Forever running, skipping, soaring, flying as the wind,

o'er the fields of grass
