Poem -

M.I.A

Love is like a war zone

Its hard to fight this battle alone

I'm standing

Scared, bruised and blue

I watch the smoke clears

There are no signs of you

Why have you gone away?

Night has turned to day

The sun burns threw the grey

But, baby, you're M.I.A

The rain has started to drown my senses

I remember when you started building defenses

Grenades and barbed wire fences

Tanks and snipers

Like lions fighting vipers

Your words hit me like a bullet

The trigger, you were the one to pull it

And now that you've gone away

The night had turned to day

The sun burns threw the grey

But, baby, you're M.I.A

I don't want to show my weak side

You've already stomped out my pride

There is no place left to hide

So, go ahead, pull the trigger

We all know that you're the 'winner'

I'll raise my hands in surrender

I miss you, missed you
I love you, loved you

Past tense
Words that represent
My resentment
