Michael rowed his boat ashore 🌈

Michael rowed his boat ashore 🌈

Michael rowed his wooden boat south westerly across the briney shore

Whilst merman chased those scaley tails from mermaid lovers as the raging sea did roar

But this young seafarer wasn’t scared of any storminess on his mission to explore

He longed to follow his Father’s footsteps as an old salty dog afore..

And as Michael rowed and rowed his little sailing boat his skinny arms were sore

With only lengthy planks of oily cedar wood to keep him afloat he found it such a chore

Mind you when he finally found his lost island well this was something to adore

So he ticked it off his bucket list and stayed ashore for evermore...

Wonderfully well written and presented Jill, simply wonderful, top notch through-out.
Loved your magical last line about bucket list and staying there forever more.
You put so many little details in your poems that are great to view and you are poetry's Duracell bunny that just won't stop and thank heavens for that!!
Love reading you and am not the only one for many I pin and email to my daughter.
Another five star touch of poetry class and quickly pinned.
Thanks Jill for not only sharing your poetry but your poetry gift as well.💙⭐️💙😊
