Sadim Heart

Everything he touched
Turned swiftly to dust
And chains from the pain
That remained seemed to rust
But the truth is his heart
Was an inch and a touch too
Far from the love that he knew was enough
And the curse on his soul
As he spoke was a crutch
For the dark and the harsh
That he knew that he was
And it waxed and it waned
And it ebbed and it flowed
But alas he was gone for
His joy had he sold
And nothing more
Could his heavy heart hold
You see everything he touched
Turned simply to dust
For the lies and deceit
He could see wasn't trust
But the truth was it came
And it left in a rush
And the joy that it left
That he took wasn't much
For everything he touched was
A grain in the dust
