Sadim Heart

Everything he touched
Turned swiftly to dustÂ
And chains from the painÂ
That remained seemed to rustÂ
But the truth is his heartÂ
Was an inch and a touch tooÂ
Far from the love that he knew was enough
And the curse on his soulÂ
As he spoke was a crutchÂ
For the dark and the harshÂ
That he knew that he wasÂ
And it waxed and it wanedÂ
And it ebbed and it flowedÂ
But alas he was gone forÂ
His joy had he soldÂ
And nothing more
Could his heavy heart hold
You see everything he touchedÂ
Turned simply to dustÂ
For the lies and deceitÂ
He could see wasn't trustÂ
But the truth was it cameÂ
And it left in a rushÂ
And the joy that it leftÂ
That he took wasn't muchÂ
For everything he touched wasÂ
A grain in the dust
