Midnight Dream

On my broken eye
there are still
memories
lingering like lazy ruins.
While in my ear
a brass band
shuts my silence away.
My lacy things are
wearing out,
blown by the winds
of this eerie orchestra.
And my hair is
turning black
- lest it doesn't match my clothes -
and I turn a blind eye
to my going blind.
So,
I built my scented paper cage
I refurbished my inky walls
I levelled my rear
red, red rose
garden.
Now I sang
my luring lullaby
Now I burnt
the midnight dream.
