Midsummer memories

Midsummer memories

As light as a feather the gentle breeze blew.. scattering the sandy shingle askew..creating platforms on the seashore..where footsteps of children with gaiety explore

Webbed imprints tells tales of before as the briney breakers lapped the salty shore..smothering their tiny traces from the sea.. lost forever with the oceanic debris.. gone like the little ones laughter and fun.. as families with animals frolicked in the sun

Each and every new day was the same..in the bright sizzling sunshine beach worshippers came..enjoying Mother natures beautiful beaches.. gorgeous girls in bikinis, bronzed boys clad in their breeches..yet as the sun settled low in the haze of the horizon..with white sailed yachts, three tall mizzlemasts mizen..

Picnics and wind-breakers were packed-up and away.. along with the people and pets from their play.. leaving their stories and midsummer memories behind.. majestic sandcastles, their turrets aligned..as the ebb and the flow of the torrent and tide.. sweeps over the daytime amusement to hide..to leave the languished, lonely shore..cleansed and refreshed for a new dawn once more
