Miracles

Miracles happen every day
The birth of a child
Finding your soulmate
Which I myself
Have had both of these things
Happen in my life
But my true miracle
Happened two years ago
My life meant nothing
I was lost and alone
Then something bad happened
And I went to prison
Prison saved me
Prison was my miracle
As odd as that may seem
I have been released
And my parole is over
Now life has meaning
Prison sat me down
And slowed me down
I see all the wonders
And miracles
Happening around me
Every second
Of every day
It's the small things in life
That help me enjoy
My place
Here in this world
Enjoy the little things
Then when bad things happen
They don't seem so big
