Miraculous father.

So much I could say but I'll express my thanks in a poets way.

                  You stood a fathers place once again.

After the children you made you've already raised.

                   A man to look up to you selflessly gave to offset a mans failure that day.

                   The one I was born when with no look back the biological walked away.

As a child you were that man who made me smile.

I hid while you'd seek but where are you now ?

I'm still hiding but its been awhile.

                     For you I'll wait forever.

                     Even if you never find me again, ever.

                     Don't worry, for with the examples you set I learned how a real man measures.

I followed you regardless the distance.

Held the flashlight as you brought life back to an engine.

                                     The stories you told inspire the man I strive for all to see.

                                                I wanted nothing less than to be you

                                     But the confidence you instilled braved way for the OK to just be me.

Lest traditional your presence had to be.

wisdom and advice never unheard laid nest

and encourage the best of me.

                         Hands of Stern but always fair.

                        Right or wrong you always looked back and made sure to be there.

My heart now speaks to you from afar .

Saying thank you for holding my hand so easily .

For not walking away at the thought of raising me.

                          You gave birth to my mother as it be.

                         So much more than a grandfather you've been.

When you passed my only father was lost to me.

Travis your were more than you had to be.

You were grand for sure but I hope you realize 

More importantly you were my daddy.
