Mirror

Mirror

Looking into you
is deceptive
As we see what
we want to see

A photograph
is less forgiving
it shows
the wrinkles
the age
and the fat
erodes
self confidence

Let's face it
There is no excuse
for  not being
photogenic

Your either fat
ugly
old
or your
appearance
is pleasing
to the human
eye

The Portrait of the soul
though
may be different
than
what is perceived

There is no
visual measurement

Masking it
with words
or  distraction
may fade the stink
but intuition
will snoop
through the
deception

In the end
a mirror
is a better
measure
to what we can live with.
