Mirrors

I stand in front of the mirror
What do you see?
I ask myself
A strong, beautiful, smart person
I respond
All lies
I am small
I am fragile
I am scared
I cry
My tears drip onto the mirror
They start to swirl together
Creating a door
I walk through
This place
This place is filled with terrors
Monsters
Evil
I run
I scream
I hide
Until I find a door
It is a new one
I walk through
I am in front of the mirror
I ask myself again
What do you see?
A strong, beautiful, smart person
I answer again
I am no longer small
I am no longer fragile
I am no longer scared
