Miss Reminisce

Miss Reminisce

How Long it took
When we read a book,
or how early we got up
in the morning.
That long lousy fight
to stay up all night
before we stared yawning.

When you're bored,
you have a hoard of
toys scattered everywhere.
Scream and shout
till you wear yourself out
Whatever your mum said
just didn't seem fair.

You're sitting on the ground
Searching through that mound,
of the past, from when
you were small
A smile, a laugh, maybe a tear
whilst you look back on all of these years
Reminiscing over it all.

When the days were carefree,
Because you were only maybe three,
so you insist.
To just sit back and list
the times that you've missed
as a kid, that's reminisce.
