Miss Whiskey

Miss regret

Miss shine

Miss kind

Miss says something fine:

Dont cry?

Wont laugh.

Cant sleep?

Wont try.

The heart aches I defy,

I no longer care for morning light,

I just don't want to see mourning of thine,

along with a teary eye I deny.

Nothing to regret,

for we can not change how rain is wet.

Losing my shine,

for the pen tip is no longer fine.

Forgetting to be kind,

for your soul is barely to find.

Because together we'll be,

mister corps

and miss whiskey,

just you and I.
