Missing Our Little Boys
Happy Thanksgiving our precious Angels, it’s now been seven years;
Since we all shared it together, with laughter and no tears!
You got some turkey in your kibble, a pinch of mashed potatoes too;
We finished with some pumpkin pie, just vanilla ice cream for you!

You gobbled up your dinners, oh so happy with your treats;
But that would be the last one, next year we’d serve up no repeat!
For less than three months later, on a fateful February night;
Our Nico said goodbye to us, as we held him oh so tight!
.
His passing left us broken, a blow to our dear family;
Once a loving close quartet, had now been pared to three!
Then there were two more with Baby Cody, before he left us too;
Now all we’ve left are memories, to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with you!

Almost seven years now since we lost Nico, the first of our baby boys, Cody joining him in Heaven 2 1/2 years later. Our home is replete with precious photos of them bringing back sweet memories and saddened tears. As you say, these most loved animals on earth have such a ridiculously short longevity.

Our Dear Tony,
Our lives have changed so, living here in Ohio. The latest is that Linda is doing her accounting skills for 2 employers, one 3 days a week virtually, the other 2 days a week, about 20 minutes away on site. She is now the breadwinner, our Art sales on eBay almost non-existent. As for me, I've switched mostly from poetry to romantic novels, now working on completing one which I feel is my best. So we are only on Cosmo sporadically, when I feel the inspiration to write a poem. We miss you too Tony, and my still beautiful long-haired Linda and I would love an update on what's going on in your life.
