Misty Dawn
I wished to be alone;
Not to be caught
In the so called love
And dating etc. , my pals believed
And vowed to be a bachelor!
Reaching home back
After college, Â
Devoted  to studies,
Keeping all windows shut,
Never letting myself to be astray!
One morning when
I was in my room,
Irresistible fragrance smelled
And there I’m checking the origin,
To find a small gap between the panes,
To be seen a shade diminishing  nearby
By the mist-clad walkway,
Holding offerings to deity
She believed would
Fetch her everything she wished for!
I couldn’t see who she was;
I’m at a loss if it was the fragrance
Of the flower she carried;
Or that of her – fragrance that
I’ve  never smelled before!
Here I’m, looking out
Keeping the window panes open,
To smell the fragrance – no, no
To have a glance of the lass;
Go away, disturb me not,
The fragrance is permeating,
She’d be just reaching now!
The fog is playing spoil-sport,
A shade moved through gently,
Leaving me in obscurity!
