Misty Moonbeam Dreams

Misty Moonbeam Dreams

Misty Moonbeam Dreams

Moonlight falls on the pavement like snow.

Shining on sleeping rooftops like rain.

Glowing in my dreams like an autumn mist.

I see the outlines of a lover I did not have,

and children that never lived.

Silent music from opening flowers.

Their trumpets white in the darkness.

A paper moon sits in judgment.

Please!! Don’t taunt me.

With ghost of those that never were.
