Misunderstandings

Misunderstanding yourself
Is the greatest crime
What others may think or do
No killer sublime

The peace to be found in you
That firm foundation
Only comes from knowing what
Brings aggravation

Allow people misgivings
But never yourself
They can ever have false claims
Your mind the volts wealth

For tender is that balance
Between them and me
They have rights to opinions
Base on what they see

Mental health is no practice
But a way of life
When standing in your own lane
You can own it's strife

Be the champion of you
If the crowd empty
The cheer that comes from inside
Let this be plenty

Misunderstandings and me
Shadows and the light
Take one so too the other
Safe guards any night
