Monster

Mommy make the monster go away
hes hiding under my bed and stays.
He makes scary noises as I try to sleep
Under my bed as I try not to peek.Â
I lay there praying he will go away
but he grumbles as it may.
Mommy make the monster go away..
Mommy I'm scared why does he stayÂ
when I want him to go away
I pull the cover to my cheeksÂ
as the tears falls and leaks,
As the monster rattles the sheets.
I scream out loud for mommy to come
then the monster under my bedÂ
cry's as I hum..Â
Mommy the monster is scared to... you see
He wanted a friend but was to scared of me.
As we both face the scary thought of things not seen
we came together and was free as could be..
Mommy the monster and me are friendsÂ
and I love him and he loves me..

Ahhhhhhhhhh, yes. The proverbial monster under the bed.
Ya know, Kay, it isn't just children who have this type of phobia.
Adults can too, although the monsters they imagine are more human than alien.
A hand reaching out to clasp them around their ankle.
A pair of glowing red eyes staring back at them.
Not for the faint of heart.
About 3 to 5 percent of kids will develop a phobia, an intense, excessive fear that lasts longer than a few months, grows out of proportion, and affects the child's ability to function.
Sad, but true.
Nice ink...

Thank you dear friend, Yes I still hate the dark, but I use the fear to help me with knowing fear itself can be scared. May not make sense to others but for me it helps, i was the scared kid for most of my life trying to be strong but scared of all the monsters that stay with me till I seen they could be scared also so it helped me to get through a painful past.. Much love friend may you be blessed in all you do...
You're more than welcome, Kay.
I echo those same sentiments back to you.
~Dean :)
