Monster under the bed?

Did I see something,
go under my bed?
Was that a tail?
That could be a head!
Did I spy an eye
that glints in the night?
One moment it's there, 
the next out of sight!
Did I see fur and was that a hoof?
Oh my! I can't look, but I need to see proof.
I then think I hear
a growl
then a grunt
Im sure I hear something
or is this a stunt?
I see it again, that hint of an eye
Im terribly scared now
Yes scared- I won't lie!
My eyes open wide
that's fear I suppose
I then yank the bed sheets right up past my nose.
I try to imagine what's under the bed,
a big one eyed monster, 
a thing with two heads
Ill have to stop watching my tv in bed
To lessen the horrors that form in my head
My imagination now it runs wild,
ive not been this frightened , since I was a child
Im still lay in bed
thinking what I should do
and most unfortunately I need the loo!
How will I make it to the bedroom door,
without putting my terrified feet on the floor?
I pull the sheets down,
So that I can see 
if there's anything there
looking at me.
I look around
the coast seems to be clear
if there was something there
it would surely smell fear
I make a decision 
I'll have to be quick
I jump from the bed
armed with a stick.
I dash for the door
and turn on the light.
Itll not get me now
Well not tonight!
