Poem -

My Pain, Your Sadness

I wake up every morning

Thinking about life

But all it really is

Is pain and strife

I can’t seem to find

What it is I want

Because I’m stuck in a bind

While other people taunt

I will always care for you

You are my light

Because, when I come to plight

You always pull me through

The scars on my wrist

Will always stay there

I try to face the blade with a clenched fist

But my pain I cannot bare

I pick up the knife

Trying to end my life

But you make it stop

And the knife I always drop

I will never let you see

What it is in me

Because letting you know

Is like letting you go
