Moonlight Fire

Moonlight Fire

In the heart of Africa

Under a candle of moonlight

A sacred fire burns bright

The lighting of the candles

The beating of the drums

The donning of tribal masks

Chanting and dancing

Worship of our ancestors by moonlight and fire

The flames from the fire burn with our past

The faces of our ancestors in the flames

Fire and smoke of ancestors and spirits

Candles and smoke

Prayers and blessings to our ancestors

Moonlight fire: a sacred ritual in Africa
