Moonlight Stroll ❤️

Moonlight Stroll ❤️

Wasn’t it wonderful to walk in the moonlight
We were in awe when we heard the Owl
Hoot hooting eerily hidden in the black of the night
Watching the red fox out on his prowl

I’d never dare venture in the forest at midnight
But I felt so safe when I was with you
Wandering aimlessly on the path thru the woodland
Star- strucked at the too-wit-too-woo

I loved the spookiness of the old tall oaks
It was as if those tree were watching us
You made a remark”Those trees have eyes”
They felt like demon’s in diguise

Silence was tarnished with the rustling of the leaves
We trudged & trampled on at leisure
Oh how I enjoyed our secret stroll
We must do it again, I got such pleasure

We were captured by the bliss of nocturnal nightness
Listening & observing all in our track
You made our adventure extra special
Sharing your picnic from your hiker’s knapsack

Will you take me again for a dander in the darkness ?
If you need a friend, I will come with you
I loved the loneliness, just us two together
We could repeat it all again like
Deja vu

Jill I absolutely love this. I live in a place surrounded by woodland and with a bright full moon a midnight walk is magical. If, however you have too much wine with a picnic and fall asleep on an evening with no moon and cloud cover, not so much. Now I have a moon phase clock.
Lovely write,
Nigel.
