Lord, what can I depend on in this life?
When you have been absent from my life, did things ever go well?
And I don't think they'd ever go amiss when you are with me
It seems that when I am away from you---------you miss me
At least that's what my heart would like to believe
You are my souls desire and so I cry out to you in my solitude
I know that it's not that I'm embarrassed I just don't want to be rude
You see that all things work unto my good--------I believe in you
Even though you send me various trials and tough temptations
I know you've designed this for my benefit, I believe in your nation
Therefore, it is in YOU, that I place all my hope and trust
On YOU I lay all my anxieties and worries, I will not taste disgust
Please guard and defend my soul living amid endless distraction
And by your grace guide me along the path to your satisfaction...
