Mortals

Mortals

We are mortals living

in an imperfect world,dwelling

in a perishable body.

Outwardly we are perishing

but inwardly we  are being

renewed.

Diseases will devour our body,

our health will deteriorate and

death will be inescapable.

Mortals do not live forever,

they are appointed to die once.

Within every mortal lies an

immortal soul,our body will

die but our soul will live forever.

Every believer of Jesus Christ

will be changed in a twinkling

of an eye, transfigured into an

imperishable being.

We will never die again.

Our tears will be wiped away.

Our sorrow will be joy.

Our toil will be rest.

Our suffering will be peace.

Soon we all will embrace the

afterlife, we will have eternal

rest in heaven.

Believers of Jesus Christ fix

your eyes on things above

because whats above is permanent,

the things below is temporary.

We are pilgrims singing a sojourners

song, our citizenship is in heaven.
