Mother

Undeniably embittered, but
honestly?...I couldn't look at her

She had abandoned me to
adulthood, all its terribleness, its
fear...

Unreasonable?...maybe...but
I never asked to go forth

Unknowing, unprepared, 
so now it's her fault
I'm dead...
