"MOTHER"

"MOTHER"

Sometimes I want to cry when I think about my Mother
She's the only person who has helped me discover
ALL the truth about myself, and everything about God
She's taken me, all by myself, through the thickest fog
And when we came out the other side, guess what she said
One day my son, you'll look for truth, and find yourself instead
I never knew all the things she told me, when I was just a lad
That I would hate them, then MUCH later, come to understand
That she was being absolute perfection, and I was being selfish
But now, so many years later, we're the very best of friends
And every time we talk together we have so much to share
Because she taught me, Never, Ever, to compare
Trust in yourself, she always told me, and then you'll trust in God
I never knew then, why she walked me, through that thickest fog
But now each night, just before Jeopardy, my mother tells me about her day
And I thank God, I have her to talk with, Coz, she wouldn't have it any other way!

A lovely tribute to your mum sweety and I`m sure she`ll be chuffed when she see`s it. Nobody appreciates love until they give birth because that is the truest love in the world and it`s wonderful to be lucky enough to have. I cherish all six of my children and all eleven grandchildren, I know I am very lucky to have their love in my life and I thank God every day for that wonderful gift. I love you sweety. G xx
