MOTHER AND CHILD GROUP

This poem centres around a mother and child group
They met once a week for coffee and soup
Each of them listened to what each had to say
Like the time Bobby took his first steps the other day

Each of the mother and child had a story to tell
They all seemed to get along so very well
Then something happened which was out of the blue
That made the mothers confused and not sure what to do

It was the sight of a father and child amongst their group
He ordered his coffee and ate his soup
He listened intently to what was being told
This father and child were both brave and bold
