Mother Nature

     I’ve been trying to figure out Mother Nature 
I watch and listen and I have learned to taste her 
in so many ways 
     Yes there is a pecking order 
species and sons and daughters 
but the mother has say 
     I’ve been trying to figure out 
motherhood 
how brave how strong how so so good 
I could never do it 
I’ve been thinking about who I am 
Mother Nature don’t even know my name 
because I don’t deserve it
