Mothers Gone

Mothers Gone

My dreams take me to a special place
Connecting with passed loved ones
I speak to family in spirit
Every night I see my mum

You send me special messages
And warn me of the bad
You comfort and protect me
Especially when I’m sad

Sometimes I sleep through the day
Because I long to hear your voice
I wish I could sleep forever
Wakening isn’t by choice

Please never leave me dreams
I fear the day you do
My life would be so empty
If I couldn’t dream with you

I miss you mum
Life is so sad
You were the best mum
I could have had
You were my best friend
Like my sister too
My life is broken
Without you
