A Mothers Loss
There is nothing worse than this wailing
LifeĀ has lost allĀ purpose andĀ meaning.
A mother mourns on this horrificĀ day
When there is nothing anyone can say
All trying their utmost to share the pain
Understanding what she will never regain
But comforting her is impossible all realize
AsĀ her belief and hope in the future dies.
All hearts givenĀ to see this childĀ returned to her,
This grief is beyond what any soul should endure.

Thanks. I was there when a lady friend received news her son had died in tragic circumstances and experienced the pain with her. It still makes me upset even though this occurred years ago.

Oh my God! ~ is right!!.........My mother has lost two daughters!!..........it is so difficult to speak with my Mom about it.........because we both would cry............one of them ~ Sabrina~ just died 4 months ago........a lump comes to my throat whenever we even get close to the THAT subject matter............they were both my YOUNGER sisters........it's so weird that you write this today..........I was just about to write a poem for my sister.........think i'll wait..........this is a VERY moving write my friend..............HUGZ!!.........T xo

This good work brought back bad memories. When I was 21, while in a small hospital recovering from an injury, a hysterical mother was brought in. Her daughter had been killed by Grizzly Bear in Glacier National Park. Her wails of dispair were unlike anything I've hear since. This poem captures the horror of that momeny.r
No parent wants to outlive their child. Ā It is one of the nightmares that all wish could never be !
