A mothers poem

The baby has been createdÂ
The belly's expanding quick
You wait so very patiently
To feel the first kick
Your babies first picture is cute and sweet
Even more so special when you see the heartbeat
Your feelin tired, stretched and bloated
But to your unborn baby your still devoted
Your due date comes and passes byÂ
Feeling emotional you sit and cry
Waiting for days for this to begin
Staring in the mirror wishing you were thin
It has begun like a lamb to the slaughter
Its now time meet your son or daughter
Hours and hours of pain and screaming
When you meet your baby your face is beaming
Your baby is placed skin to skin
You feel your heart melt from within
Life has changed and will never be the same
You have now joined the parenting game
The moon is shining high in the sky
The baby is awake and starting to cry
The kettle is on and boiling wild
All iin preparation to feed the child
The belly is full and appears a little smile
Now back to sleep at least for a while
But sure enough as if to time
The baby's bellowing alarm begins to chime
The sun is warm and the birds are singing
In the distance church bells are ringing
Staring at your baby you smile is glistening
The day has arrived for your childs christening
Presents gifts and laughters all round
Your daughter stayed asleep and never made a sound
Celebrations over the day was really great
But its time to rest your head as its very late
Eighteen years have passed and she has done very well
She is a beautiful woman but she is still your little girl
