Poem -

A Mothers Pride

The day you were born...

Was a day that I feared...

Little did I know...

How to be a mother that year...

Each day that you grew....

I grew into a mother...

Learning new things right along with you...

Your first words...

My heart filled with joy...

Your first steps...

My heart sank to the floor....

Your first day of school....

Is starting here soon...

Oh, how I am dreading it too....

Although you are no longer my baby...

I am still your mother...

I will love you...

Always and forever.
