Mourning

Only the flame in the darkness
Lights the way for me to follow
A path I've taken into the unknown
Where it leads I don't know

The journey is long and hard
And my destination is a mystery
What trials and tribulations lay ahead
Soon will become part of history

I see you on the other side
But where you are I can't follow
They say it's not my time
And when I return I must not wallow

Mourn me not you tell me
We'll be together soon
Til then enjoy this life
We will reunite on the moon

When I awaken with a cry
Feeling a little less sad
Why did you have to die
I do not know the why

I carry on with life
Knowing you are with me
This is not the end
Just a new beginning
