Mow your own god damned lawn

In a schizoid psychosis once
My mother saw a splash of lime
Behind peeling lemon paint
"The grass is always richer on the other side." She said
I look into rust-splattered mirror
Plaster appearing behind flakey bubbles of baby blue
Tap drips and plumb dribbles
Will water wash my thoughts away
Can I outsource my self-loathing to Media phobias today
The world outside inside
Drivvel non stop
I get glimpses of innocence
But the façade persists
This Truman sky across four walls
Nowhere is safe from the faked-up faces
Contempt bleeds through their masks
Fecal bacteria is what they see
At the ready with pointed fingers
To flush me away any day
Just biding their time until they get the green light
To cancel culture my light
And put this unvaxxed demon
out of mind out of sight
