Poem -

Mr. Piggy is on the loose

Lechon, Filipino National food.

Mr. Piggy is on the loose

Mr. Piggy, Mr Piggy where are you?
There's nothing more you can do
Mr. Piggy the knife is blunt
It's Yuletide season, so you bear the brunt.

Without you feast is not complete
Mr. Piggy, I beg you, I entreat
Come to me; I must admit
Carnetarian - I'm a little bit.

Charcoal is now burning hot
Made from coconut husks
An uncomfortable sauna for a while
Spit spinning gonna take sometime.

Secret spices stuffed in your belly:
Bay leaves, scallions, and black peppercorns
Then your belly should be swelly.

Constant spinning make your skin so crisp
' Malutong' as potato chips!
Dressed and laid on a decorated tray
Centerpiece of buffet table in a festive way.

Walnuts, fruit slices and edible greens
Cabbages,  green peppers and Mung beans
Now I know where to start
First that Apple in your big mouth.

Happy New Year to you all

Your poem made me hungry. I really liked the descriptions about the spices to make the piggy taste good. I've never eaten from a pig that was prepared in this way. I think I would much rather not to see their head, when eating pork. :

Have a Happy New Year!

Hi Katina,  honestly, I don't eat the head nor the flesh. I only eat the crispy skin when still hot. But, it's very delicious. ..You just have to watch your bp after LOL
Thanks for your support and have a blessed 2020.

Thanks for the reply :)

My husband loves pickled pigs’ feet. I told him I was going to try it this year but he had already eaten them.
