That it be known
In the dark

Have hidden in the hills

The swords have come
The blood is running along the banks 
I cannot find you, 
Yet I found you in the mud
In the worms
In the dust of humanity

What is left here, 
Is the sky as deep
As the ocean, 
Is the bird flying
Or is it sweeping upside down, 
Are these eyes as deceiving
As the tongue wagging - 
Where are the priests  
That bring redemption
- 
Let it be known
That a soul is not made of 
Mud and water alone 
That a bird is not it's wings - 
That humanity is not it's sins 
Nor it's deeds 
For light is dark 
As dark is light
