Poem -

Muscular Dystrophy

Resonating deep inside me

Pain always there dull and black

Wind pushes me down

I trip and fall on my face

Cant get up

Defeat

Pure defeat

Crawling

Can't get on my knees

Tied up like a victim

Hog tied death

No-one there to hear

If nobody is there to hear the cripple fall

Did the cripple really fall

Yes

Yes he did this is real

Turn your gaze somewhere else

Is this a zoo

Life as a slave

Starring

Cold dark wood against my face

Breathing like an American pig

Just go to sleep

To sleep my child

Death will come soon enough
