Mushrooms + Clouds
just a quick spark
a flash
of murder in your eyes
and I saw it rise
a mushroom cloud
suspended in our skies
before your eyes returned
to what we were
but I saw it rise
that mushroom cloud
and I recognised that spark,
that flash
of
you
that I despise

Oh My Goodness MARION!!....what a STUNNING display of what it means to capture an emotion/reaction poetically!!.....you can actually see/feel the red in the eyes of the perpetrator begin to rise throughout this piece..... until at poems end you feel the explosion of hate/anger in your final lines......the clever repetition of word combinations like "Mushroom cloud" REALLY helps the reader to anticipate the final explosion!!.....Apologies for rambling on here but I'm excited about this piece for you.....I think it might be your very best!!.....PINNED for perfection!!.....an absolutely ~ succinctly delivered, poetic MASTERPIECE!!........Bravo!!.....well penned dear poet sister!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo : )
