Sometimes in the mellow of darkness
you can hear my heart playing
beautiful music pure and flawless.
your ears tune into its perfect pitch
you smile in the certainty it is for you.
but when my mind is cloudy
and the days seem long and stressed
the music is flawed with static
crackling between the sweetest tones
like a radio station in years gone by
