MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER

MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER

When my daughter left and said goodbye

How was I to know that she was going to die

My daughter was heading north....Manchester bound

To hear her favourite singer deliver her favourite sound

At 10:35 the concert was at its end

It's time to go said Julie her friend

At that moment lives would never be the same

People caught up in a bombers deadly game

A bomb went off and people started to panic and scream

For Julie and my daughter it was like a bad dream

Julie managed to make her way outside

As people all around wept and cried

My daughter was one of the unlucky ones trapped inside

My daughter one of the 22 that had perished and died

Why should my daughter die in such a way ?

For she was only 15 yesterday

The rain will continue to fall and the sun will continue to shine

Why dear bomber have you taken this daughter of mine

KIERAN1369- I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. So heartfelt and profoundly sad, well expressed.

Hi Gayle

I wrote this as if I were a father of a 15 year old daughter

I have not suffered any loss other than sharing the agony of living in a mixed up and crazy world

Thanks for your kind comments

Kieran
