My 25 year cancer story!

No pain, no gain

My 25 year cancer story!

From the tender age of fifteen,
Life's curveball, harsh and mean.

Diagnosed with cancer's might,

Youthful days turned to endless fight.

Happiness, a fleeting shade,

Replaced by treatments, hospital stays.

Yet through adversity, strength was born,

A fighter’s spirit, never forlorn.

Dreams and hopes, fiercely held,

In the face of pain, I never quelled.

As years passed, the battle stayed,

With every high, a low displayed.

Married wrong, yet blessings came,

Three boys’ laughter, joy and pain.

Cancer’s shadow, always near,

Treatments, meds, health stripped clear.

Osteoporosis, ailments grew,

Twenty-plus problems, my life askew.

Yet through it all, I lived my best,

World traveled, life’s ultimate test.

A dream job in Dubai’s embrace,

Turned down for health, life’s cruel race.

Cannabis, my lifeline stayed,

Dream deferred, a price I paid.

Love and loss, chapters turned,

Divorce’s pain, new love discerned.

A blended family, hope reborn,

Amidst the struggle, a beacon worn.

Cancer worsened, challenges grew,

Bedbound, miles from loved ones’ view.

Striving still, to bridge the gap,

To be with them, despite the trap.

Relentless battle, flame’s faint glow,

Cannabis soothed, eased the woe.

Pain and tears, constant guests,

Yet for my family, I masked the rest.

At thirty-nine, crossroads faced,

Health decline, yet will embraced.

Future’s veil, unclear, yet bright,

Each day cherished, love’s pure light.

Early dreams, ambitions tall,

Guided me through darkness’ call.

Friends unwavering, anchors strong,

Through life’s tempest, they belonged.

Cannabis, more than mere relief,

A lifeline through the chronic grief.

World’s wonders, memories made,

Resilient spirit, never swayed.

Burj Al Arab, a dream so near,

Reality’s choice, no future clear.

Family’s strength, my guiding star,

Love and support, ever far.

Pain’s companion, yet joy I found,

In small moments, life profound.

Children’s smiles, partner’s hand,

Sunset’s beauty, life’s grand plan.

Hope, my light in darkest night,

Kept me going, fueled the fight.

Human spirit, strong and bright,

Through all challenges, endless might.

In the end, it’s not the years,

But life’s fullness, conquering fears.

Grateful heart, a journey blessed,

A story of resilience, strength, and zest.

Reflecting now, no regrets,

Life’s tapestry, lovingly met.

Through happiness, through sorrow’s blend,

I’ve lived fully, until the end
