My beautiful blue Jay’s feather

Floating little fragile feather fluffy and flimsy
Wondering where on earth it came from in my fairytale whimsy
Did this pretty plume of perfection fall from a beautiful bird ?
but is there such a blue coloured feathered friend or is this notion absurd ?

Usually as I tread my trails I am in my own zone
 caring not a jot just listening to the tunes on my phone
But today of all days I craved the countryside sounds
with just me, the humming birds and the natural surrounds
So perhaps this is the reason why I noticed this feather 
It hovered right infront of me in the windless weather

Well this sky blue beauty stopped me in my tracks
and I paused as I pondered putting it in my waist pouch packs
Then I wandered on searching for this feather from Siri on my phone
As I meandered along the valley and  the footpath alone
Of course I was elated when I found out that it belonged to a Jay
and to my astonishment I was overjoyed to read what it did say

“A blue Jay’s feather is a very rare find” and to think I could have easily missed it if I was blasély blind
I read on to be even more overjoyed at what the passage said
“A single blue Jay’s feather is like a pearl in an Oyster bed”
So I shall always keep my little treasure safe in a pot
and I will always think about that Jay bird and thank him alot
