My Best Friend

My Best Friend

The first time we met we jumped for joy,
I took you home and we played with toys,
No better mate could I have found,
You and me always, and never a frown,
The years roll by and your always there,
A life together we did share,
But then comes a time all too quick,
You have to leave me ,and I feel sick,
Doggy heaven has called for you,
So you must go ! Β it’s all to true,
I look back now on all the years,
Through eyes of grief too full of tear’s,
As I hug you goodbye, you look up at me,
And lay your head upon my knee,
Goodbye my friend, I will never forget you
Goodbye my friend ! Goodbye !
