My calm before the storm

   "My calm before the storm"

Heaven has taken from me my angel,

one that he said, was long over due

How am I to now go on this life living

And what am I, suppose to truly do.

She was without doubt, my only family,

no one left, have i now, too tightly hold,

you've torn away, a special part of me, 

and Left me, in a world, so bitterly cold.

He took your hand from mine, at seven

now you're living your new life, pain free

if I ever through God, get to see heaven, 

He promised, she'd be waiting there, for me

 A home with no warmth, in the times of spring,

a broken heart, that could no longer, vision a mend, 

a lonely bird, in a cage, with no song left to sing,

God you took away, from me, my only Friend.

A star once so bright, sadly burnt out, just Last night,

and in its place, left a hole, in my heart and how i pray,

so valiant, was she and not only, did i see her fight,

But how selfish, was i, too have asked of her, to stay.

You knew you was ill but for me, tried to remain strong,

though your heart, became weaker, each passing day

I will count the days, till this world, I no longer belong

 and thank God, to have held you dearly, each night i lay.

There has been no sunshine, now that you have gone, 
my sky's are of dark Grey and cast aside, is the warm,
the tree you once planted, all leaves have now blown
for you were the calm, before the turbulence, of my storm.
