My Country Tis Of Thee

My Country Tis Of Thee

My country tis of the thee,

Would you fight or die for me,

It's not just my country,

I did it for you,

Would you fight or die for me,

Walk into a kindergarten class and you will see kids pledging to a flag and to a country, so proudly, Not even realizing the privileges, advantages and freedoms they have inherited just for being born in the right place at the right time,

Meanwhile you go to a sporting event or a Patriotic parade and you’ll see teenagers to adults of every ethnic background, refusing to stand or remove their hats or give the common courtesy of shutting their mouths, So the person standing next to them who is trying to pay their respects, can do so in peace, even though they know the privileges, advantages and freedoms they have inherited just for being born in the right place at the right time,

Sweet land of liberty,

Would you fight or die for me,

I did it for you,

It's your country too,

It is not just my country, it is our country,

You complain of immigration, wearing your Rebel flag hats and posting your American owned and made in America and Born in the USA signs,

Refusing to acknowledge and respect that it was also immigrants that died, serving America, so you can have the liberty to complain about immigration.

Refusing to acknowledge that it was men and women of a every race, creed, religion and sexual orientation that sacrificed their lives and the lives of their  loved ones so you can have the liberty to vote against their civil and god given rights,

This is not a black, white or Latino thing,

This a red, white and blue thing,

So I say again,

Would any of you fight or die for me,

Of thee I sing,

You sing of how a country that has given you the opportunity to have so much, owes you so much more,

Your voices sing loudly when you feel violated or disregarded, but whisper when it’s time to give thanks for all that you already have,  which most of you have never even worked for,  You deface this country with the same mouth you devour its benefits,

While you might not agree with the act of war, you need to support the men and women who have been order into that act of war,

While you might not agree with our president, you need to support the person your fellow Americans  elected, because if you want our president to fail you want our country to fail,

You sing USA, USA, not proudly, but as some taunt to all who aren't as fortunate as you, as if you had something to do with being born in the right place at the right time,

Would you fight or die for me,

You should this is your country,

Land were my father’s died,

Not only fathers, but mothers, and sisters and brothers, who not only died in the battle fields but also the very streets you deface and disgrace with your selling of drugs and crimes against your fellow Americans, fake demonstrations and fake marches for your own financial gains and own personal agendas, They died for a cause, they died so that you could live better than they did, while now, you live as if, you don't care who lives after you,

Would you fight or die for me,

Land of the pilgrim's pride,

Are you proud of the contributions you have given to this country, or are you just proud of the title American?

Our parents have been saying it since the day you were born and you're going to say the same to your kids, It means more when you work for it, are you working for it or against it, Are you proud of the American standing next to you, cause it doesn't matter what they look like or sound like or choose to love, if their a natural-born or naturalized citizen, they are Americans, would that American be proud to stand next to you,

Would you fight or die for your country,

It's not just on the battlefield it’s in your everyday life, are you taking a part in this country or are you taking a part this country?

A great man once said "I'd rather die free then live on my knees",

So you must ask yourself are you truly free or just wearing knee pads,

As for me,

From every mountainside let freedom ring!
