Poem -

My fear

I am the stone that we all wish to be
I do not fall and I do not break
As I walk on my tippy toes to avoid the broken glass of my life
My ankles grow tired and sore
But if I rest, my feet will spill out blood
And I will let out a scream
Shattering the stone in half
People would look at me different
They would see the inner crystals shine
And the rough edges

I am scared of this fact
Either I blind them from my rough edges
By letting my crystals shine so bright
Or I present the imperfections of my life
The things that we all keep tucked away under our rug
Or I stay on my tippy toes and mind my own business
