My Fearless Condition

My Fearless Condition

Succumbing is for the weary
Something I shall never be.
A toll too high,
I could never pay that fee.

I do not survive adversity.
Adversity does not survive me.
No matter my fate,
be it glory or doom
I shall conquer all
within that room.

I shall exit glorious
not vanquished,
never licking my wounds,
Shall wear them proudly,
rather than feel trapped
within that tomb.

Even in death, I shall laugh
at my foe's desperation,
to take from me
that part of my soul;
my endless inspiration.

Pity I shall feel
of my foe's desperate mission,
to wrest from me,
my fearless condition.

I shall never be afraid
of what I uncover,
except to ever feel
the victim
of that which
I discover.

I shall fight
with my last dying breath
to never submit
to fate's final threat.

No matter what,
I shall always be,
the victor,
the conqueror,
of the obstacles
that stand before me.
