My foggy stroll 💙

Along the familiar foggy shore I foraged on the sand
Scattering debris as I strolled from the smashed sea shells in my hand
As I listened to those waves a’roaring rolling breakers to the land
And I marvelled at that melodious motion from good old Mother natures continuous command..
But I could not see yon horizon as I stared out to the salty sea
Only misty puffs of haziness was smothering me
Yet I heard sea gulls squawking and a’ screeching as loud as can be
Flying fast in a frenzy forever to be free..
Mind you I didn’t care a jot that the view wasn’t clear
I knew exactly where I was walking so had nothing to fear
Following my Fathers footsteps from when he was a fisherman on that long stoney pier
Where those wooden boats of all shapes and sizes would fill up that harbour looking picturesque and austere...
